BROTHERLY LOVE

Hebrews 11:36-38 "And others had trial of
cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37.
They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the
sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute,
afflicted, tormented; 38. (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in
deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth."
2 Timothy 1:15-18

WALKING IN THE LIGHT
1 John 2:9-11 "He that saith he is in the
light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10. He that loveth his brother abideth
in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11. But he that hateth his brother is
in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth,
because that darkness hath blinded his eyes."
1 John 3:11-19 "For this is the message
that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12. Not as
Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he
him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. 14. We know that we have
passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not
his brother abideth in death. 15. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer:
and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
16. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
Matthew 25:34-40 "Then shall the King say
unto them on his right hand,
Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35. For I was an
hungered, and ye gave me
meat: I was thirsty,
and ye gave me drink: I was a
stranger, and ye took me in:

Naked, and ye clothed me: I
was sick,
and ye visited me: I was in
prison, and ye came unto me.
37. Then shall the righteous answer
him, saying, Lord, when saw we
thee an hungered, and
fed
thee? or thirsty, and gave thee
drink?
38. When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39. Or when saw we thee sick, or in
prison, and came unto thee?
40. And the King shall answer and say
unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of
the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
1 Thessalonians 4:9-10 ". . as touching brotherly love . . we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;"
2 Peter 1:5-8 "And beside this, giving all
diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6. And to
knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7. And to godliness brotherly
kindness [love]; and to
brotherly kindness charity. 8. For if these things be in you, and abound, they
make you that ye shall neither
be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge [epignwsiv, deeper knowledge]of
our Lord Jesus Christ."
2 Peter 1:10-11 "Wherefore the rather,
brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye
do these things, ye shall never fall

entrance shall be ministered
unto you abundantly
into the everlasting
kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."
Hebrews 6:10 "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister."
