CONTINUE DOING GOOD WORKS

Romans 2:6-7  "Who will render to every man according to his deeds [doing, works]: 7. To them who by patient continuance [abide under, endure, one word] in well [good] doing [deeds, works] . . ."

REWARDED ACCORDING TO SERVICE

Colossians 3:24-25  "Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve (by deeds and good works) the Lord Christ. 25. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong. . ."

FOR GOOD OR EVIL WORKS

2 Corinthians 5:10  "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad [evil]."

IT TAKES GRACE FOR GOOD WORKS

2 Corinthians 9:8  "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:"

CREATED FOR GOOD WORKS

Ephesians 2:10  "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto [for] good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (works)."

GOD IS WORKING

Philippians 2:13 "For it is God which worketh [present active] in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure."

FURNISHED TO DO GOOD WORKS

2 Timothy 3:16-17  "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

FRUITFUL IN EVERY GOOD WORK

Colossians 1:10  "That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;"

ACCEPTABLE GOOD WORKS

Hebrews 12:28  "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have [present active subjunctive, may we have grace] grace, whereby we may serve (good works) God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:"

SEEKING . . .

Romans 2:7  "To them who by patient continuance [endure] in well doing seek [present active participle] for glory and honour and immortality [incorruption], [the word seek comes here in the Greek text] eternal life:"

SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM

Matthew 6:33  "But seek [present active] ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness (of faith); . . ."

GLORY, HONOR, AND PEACE

Romans 2:10  "But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:"

HONOR AND GLORY IS APPROVAL

2 Peter 1:17  "For he (Jesus) received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

GOD GAVE HIM GLORY

1 Peter 1:21  "Who by him (Jesus Christ) do believe [present active] in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God."

LOVING, BELIEVING, RECEIVING

1 Peter 1:7-9  "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto [leading to] praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8. Whom having not seen, ye love [present active]; in whom, though now ye see [present active] him not, yet believing [present active], ye rejoice [present middle] with joy unspeakable and full of glory:  9Receiving [present middle] the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” (agelasting life)

GLORY IS NOT A SURE THING

Romans 5:2  "By whom (Jesus Christ) also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God."

SUFFERING AND GLORY GO TOGETHER

Romans 8:17-18  "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."

SUFFERING IS SHORT TERM

2 Corinthians 4:17  "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal [agelasting] weight of glory;"

THE GOSPEL OF THE GLORY

2 Corinthians 4:4  "In whom the god [Satan] of this world [age] hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel [of the glory] of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

WALK WORTH OF THE GLORY

1 Thessalonians 2:12  "That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory."

GLORY IS TO BE OBTAINED

2 Thessalonians 2:14  "Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining [purchase (it cost)] of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."

THE GLORY IS AGELASTING

2 Timothy 2:10  "Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the (so great) salvation (Heb 2:3) which is in Christ Jesus with eternal [agelasting] glory."

IN WELL DOING WE REAP AGELASTING LIFE

Galatians 6:7-9  "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap (more). 8. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the (ABBA) Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting (incorruption). 9. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap (agelasting life), if we faint not."

INHERIT INCORRUPTION

1 Corinthians 15:50  "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption (sowing to the flesh) inherit incorruption (agelasting life)."

LIFE AND INCORRUPTION TO LIGHT

2 Timothy 1:10  "But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished [slow down, make lazy, (not willing that any should perish)] death [qanatov, (perishing of the soul)], and hath brought life (for the age) and immortality [incorruption, (agelasting life)] to light through the gospel:"

IT WILL NOT BE IN VAIN

1 Corinthians 15:58  "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
