ROMANS 5:12

Text:  Romans 5:12-14  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:  13  (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.  14  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

BY ONE MAN, THE SIN

Romans 5:12  Wherefore, as by one man [the] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

ADAM WAS NOT DECEIVED

1 Timothy 2:13-14  For Adam was first formed, then Eve.  14  And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

THE DEVIL IS THE FATHER OF THE LIE

John 8:44  . . .  When he (Devil) speaketh a [the] lie, . .  for he is a liar, and the father of it.

LET THEM RULE

Genesis 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them [plural, male and female] have dominion [reign, rule] over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

MALE AND FEMALE

THE SIN DEFINED

1 John 3:4  Whosoever committeth [present active practices] [the] sin [also the lawlessness practices] transgresses also the law: for [the] sin is the [lawlessness] transgression of the law.

1 John 3:4  Every one who is doing [present active participle] the sin, the lawlessness also he doth do, and the sin is the lawlessness,

WILLFUL SIN, LAWLESSNESS

Hebrews 10:26-27  For if we sin [present active, practice sin] wilfully after that we have received the knowledge [epignwsiv, distinct knowledge] of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,  27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

THE LORD HATES LAWLESSNESS

Hebrews 1:9  Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity [lawlessness]; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

WORK LAWLESSNESS

Matthew 7:23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work [present middle, labor] iniquity [lawlessness].

PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS

Matthew 13:41  The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do [present active, practices] iniquity [lawlessness];

THE MANY

Matthew 24:12  And because iniquity [lawlessness] shall abound, the love of [the] many shall wax cold.

MANY ARE CALLED

Matthew 22:14  For many are called, but few are chosen.

SAVED THEN CALLED

2 Timothy 1:9  Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

CALLED TO HIS KINGDOM

1 Thessalonians 2:12  That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

COLD LOVE

John 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

LUKEWARM ARE SPEWED OUT

Revelation 3:16  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
