Text: Romans 11:12-15 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? 13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: 14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. 15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
RICHES OF THE GENTILES
Romans 11:12 Now if the fall [paraptwma, from para + piptw, to fall away Heb 6:6] of them (Israel) be the riches of the world, and the diminishing [failure or loss] of them (Israel) the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their (Israel) fulness?
ISRAEL ONLY, NOW GENTILES
Acts 11:1 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also (as the Jews) received the word of God.
GENTILES NOW ALLOWED TO REPENT
Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also (as the Jews) to the Gentiles granted [allowed] repentance unto [leading to] life. (in the kingdom)
GENTILES NOW CAN PLEASE GOD
Acts 14:27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
BLESSING OF ABRAHAM BY FAITH
Galatians 3:14 That the blessing [singular in number] of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through [dia, by means of] [the] faith.
INHERITANCE, THE BLESSING
Genesis 28:4 And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.
KEPT SECRETE FROM THE AGES
Romans 16:25-26 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world [ages, more than one] began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment [authority] of the everlasting [agelasting] God [judge], made known to all nations [saved Gentiles] for the obedience of faith:
MYSTERY MADE KNOW TO GENTILES
Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
2 Thessalonians 2:14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
TO REVEAL HIS SON
Galatians 1:16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen [Gentiles]; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
ASSOCIATE GENTILES WITH ABRAHAM
Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen [GENTILES] through [out of, or by means of] faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations [Gentiles] be blessed.
ADDRESSING THE GENTILES
Romans 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
PAUL, A CHOSEN VESSEL TO GENTILES
Acts 9:15-16 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: 16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
APOSTLE TO THE GENTILES
Galatians 2:8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)
TO PROVOKE THE WORLD
Romans 11:14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation [move to jealousy] them which are my flesh (Jews), and might save some of [ek, out of] them (Israel).
UNWORTHY OF AGELASTING LIFE
Acts 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God (the mysteries of the kingdom of God) should first have been spoken to you (to the Jew First): but seeing ye (Jews) put it (the word of God) from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting [agelasting] life (revealed in the word of God), lo, we turn to the Gentiles (also the Gentiles).
THE WORD OF GOD
Luke 8:10-11 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. 11 Now the parable is this: The seed (that was sown was and) is the word of God (which is the word of the kingdom of God).
THOSE WORTHY OF AGELASTING LIFE
Acts 13:47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee (dispersion of Israel) to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. (from Isa. 49:6)
GENTILES BELIEVED THE WORD OF GOD
Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained [perfect passive, appointed] to eternal [agelasting] life believed (word of God).
SALVATION OF GOD SENT TO GENTILES
Acts 28:26-28 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: 27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand [put together with their heart, and should be converted [turn], and I should heal them. 28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
RECONCILING ISRAEL THAT FAILED
Romans 11:15 For if the casting away [loss, rejection] of them (the Jews) be the reconciling [restoring] of the world (saved Jews, the branches broken off, v.23, again grafted in), what shall the receiving [taking in, accepting] of them be, but life from the dead?
WORLD IS ISRAEL
John 18:20 Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.
REJOICING OVER ONE PRODIGAL
Luke 15:21-24 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
