 GOSPEL PREACHED TO JEWS

Acts 16:13-15  And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.  14  And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened [1272], that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.  15  And when she was baptized, and her household, …

Luke 8:11  The seed (being sown) is the word of God. (the mysteries of the kingdom of God, verse 10)

THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST

Galatians 1:7  Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

PAUL’S GOSPEL

Galatians 1:9  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

TAUGHT TO PAUL BY REVELATION

Galatians 1:11-12  But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel (of Christ v.7) which was preached of me is not after man.  12  For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

THE GOSPEL IS TO THE BELIEVING

Romans 1:16-17  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto [leading to] salvation to every one that believeth [present active participle]; to the (faithful saved) Jew first, and also to the (faithful saved) Greek (Gentiles).  17  For therein (the gospel of Christ) is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

PAUL’S GOSPEL, CALLING THE SAVED

2 Thessalonians 2:14  Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining [purchase, acquire) of the glory (our hope) of our Lord Jesus Christ.

BELIEVE, AN EVENT -  SALVATION, AN EVENT

Acts 16:30-31  And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  31  And they said, Believe [aorist] on the Lord Jesus Christ (see NT), and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

PAUL, ADDRESSING BRETHREN

1 Corinthians 15:1  Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received [aorist active indicative, do doubt in this verb], and wherein ye stand [perfect active indicative, no doubt in this verb, they have been and continue  standing];

YOU ARE BEING SAVED

1 Corinthians 15:2  By which (continuing to stand) also ye are saved [present passive indicative, subject is receiving the action of the verb], if [not a first class conditional] ye keep  [present active, kata, hold, ecw, regard or esteem, hold fast 1 Thes. 5:21, Heb 10:23] in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed [aorist active indicative, no doubt in this verb] in vain.

 THESE BELIEVED IN VAIN

Luke 8:13  They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe [present active indicative], and in time of temptation fall away.

CHRIST DIED FOR THE CALLED

Verses 11,14) is the mediator (executor) of the new testament (his will), that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise (age lasting life, 1 John 2:25) of eternal inheritance.  16  For where a testament [will] is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator (the one who wrote his will).  17  For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

CHRIST BEAR THE SINS OF THE MANY

Hebrews 9:28  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of [the] many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
